This line of the song Chasing Pavements really hit me. It's the question that keeps on running through my mind like forever now. Yeah I know the song is all about relationship and everything but the song can speak of life also. A lot of us or should i say most of us have this kind of uncertainty wherein we keep on doing things which we think can lead us to something and then later on we realize that it's been empty pavements that we are following. To me chasing pavements is metaphorical for going after a dream or a possibilty and holding onto a thought, feeling regardless of how hopeless it may seems. A bit like a wild goose chase. :(
Well anyway, I also,somehow, experienced what the song really conveys coz' for me the song speaks of someone who terribly love someone but too scared to tell, in fear of rejection. I know it's foolish, dorky, naive name it! but hell, i can't blame myself, we were friends! But i wish i had told him, coz' even if it didn't change anything, at least he'd know how i felt.
